I am a wife and mama to husband Danny and Baby Madelyn (Maddy). I live in Chicago but my heart is always where the mountains are. My husband and I love to bring people together, and I love to have my guests be my taste testers. I owe all thanks to my husband who constantly encourages me and pushes me to pursue my creative endeavors.
I'm not an eloquent writer by any means, and my grammar can definitely use some improvement. I am nowhere near where I want to be with my calligraphy, cooking, or photography skills. I have much to learn still about what it means to be a wife, mother, and a friend. But rather than waiting around until I perfect all of these things (which some I may never), I'm inviting you to go on this journey with me. Thanks for following along!
Frequently Asked Questions
will danny be partaking in this blog?
You may hear from my husband occasionally on this blog to hear his perspective on some of the topics. His main focus will be on producing video content which may be featured on some of the blog posts.
Why do you blog?
I want to be real and share about experiences we have gone through and are currently going through. In a world that is filled with a lot of hate, anger, and negativity, we hope this blog can inspire, encourage, make people laugh, and give people hope as well as spark life-giving conversations. Writing helps me process and allows me to journey alongside others by opening up the space for others to share their stories as well.
why are you partnered with "that's what she"
A group of us started "That's What She" (TWS) because we were challenged to redefine what it means to be a woman. We want to change a phrase such as 'that's what she said' to something that would be more empowering such as 'that's who she is.' That's what she -- says, thinks, believes, inspires, challenges, creates. Please check out our linked page to hear from a group of men and women and their stories that will restore, redeem, and encourage.
